Red Bull Air Race Day One

Yesterday I invited my 2 bros to watch the first day of the Red Bull Air Race 2008. I asked them to prepare at least something to do on that afternoon while on the air show. Masaya kase pami-pamilya. Shempre since tatlo kaming magkakapatid andito, bonding na rin.

Sinundi nila ako sa hotel pagkatapos ng work ko at 4pm which is a very good timing sana, maluluto sana ang baboy namin around 6pm dinner time yun! Sarap! Napasuka tuloy.

Boring!

Here’s a glimpse of the RBAR Day One

  • Over the two days, an experienced and highly-skilled squadron of 12 pilots will compete at speeds of up to 400kph during the Abu Dhabi Red Bull Air Race Series.
  • The Abu Dhabi race will see a new format which means the pilots will only fly a maximum of three times each day as opposed to four in 2007.
  • Pilots navigate their planes through a specially-designed “race track” which is three-dimensional – gives spectators thrilling views of the action.
  • The total length of the race track is approximately 5km and consists of a series of inflatable pylon pairs known as “air gates”.
  • Entry is free for spectators all around the race venue on the Corniche.
  • There are limited tickets for the hospitality area, priced between Dh440 and Dh2,200.
  • Last year four million spectators watched the 10 races in the Red Bull Air Race Series (RBAR) and over 400 million did so on TV.
  • Abu Dhabi does provide that picture-perfect backdrop with the Emirates Palace hotel on one side and the long Corniche comprising of some of the most modern high-rise structures on the other.
  • The Abu Dhabi Air Race provides an ideal alternative to soak up a unique experience along with the sun this weekend.
