UPDATED on January 09, 2008
Today at 10 am I was shocked when I heard the news from a friend through sms that my brother’s classmate, our fellow Victoriahanon (Victorias City, Negros Occidental) had passed away and walked with God forever, Ma. Allen de Leon, 28 years old, youngest child.
My brother then read the Gulf News and found out what really happened since of course in the beginning we never thought it’s true.
Here is the news:

Fujairah: Four Filipinos were killed in a horrific car accident on the Masafi-Fujairah highway on Wednesday afternoon, a police source said.
A fifth Filipino was in a critical condition in a Fuj-airah hospital.
The accident occurred in the Defta area on the highway after the car in which the five were travelling swerved and hit the mountain-side before catching fire.
The cause of the accident is not immediately known but police authorities have in the past warned motorists to observe speed limits, especially in dangerous mountain areas, on public holidays.
The accident occurred as traffic police stepped up patrols on key roads and highways while the UAE celebrated Eid Al Adha.
The other 3 were Allen’s friends and the fifth person in critical condition is her brother.
Si Allen po ay di ko masyadong nakasama pero I got to know her sweetness, a lady whom you will never fail to laugh and smile whenever you are together. I usually had a small chat with her everytime she visits home way back 10-15 years back until she came to Dubai and work as a Physical Therapist for three years now.
She never fails to send me the Daily Scriptures through Friendster. The last message sent was on December 18, 2007 and the following day she died. This was the message sent to me:

Subject: WALK THROUGH ( 18 December 200)
Message: …WALK THROUGH…
18 December 2007
( Psalm 23P4 )
“Though I walk through the valley of
the shadow of death, I will fear no
evil; for You are with me ”
Do you ever feel like you are walking
through the valley of the shadow of
death? During the tough times, it’s
easy to get to discouraged. I love
what it says in the verse, “though I
walk through…” No matter what you are
facing today, know this: you are not
alone, and you are just walking
through. You don’t have to stop and
live in the tough times. They are only
temporary. I encourage you today;
don’t allow fear to paralyze you in
the middle of “the valley of the
shadow of death.” Remember, God is
with you. He is walking beside you. He
is strengthening you. He is making a
way of escape for you. He is lining up
people and situations to bring you out
of that tough place into a place of
strength and victory. Don’t give up!
Press on and walk through! Begin to
get a vision of your life on the other
side. See yourself more loving, more
faithful, stronger and more blessed
than ever before. As you keep moving
forward and walking through, you will
get to the other side and experience
the victory God has in store for you!
A Prayer for Today
Heavenly Father, thank You for Your
faithfulness in my life. Thank You for
walking with me even in the hard
times. I trust that You are taking me
through my circumstances to a place of
victory and strength. In Jesus’ Name.
God bless you all my dearest
Kanina binisita namin ang kanilang bahay para makasiguro sa balita. Totoo nga. We had a small chat with her father who stayed at home alone while the rest of the family were out and do the necessary steps to take her body here in the Philippines. Her brother is now recovering and soon i hope and pray that he will be ok. Her father remains strong and calm. I can see in his face that he had accepted what happened, that he had surrendered his youngest daughter to God. To be with Him eternally.
Our deep and warmest condolence and prayers to her family.
